When you are missing many or all of your teeth, aside from getting dental implants, the best option for preserving a youthful quality of life is to wear a high-quality, neuromuscularly balanced, cosmetic denture.

Dentures have a stigma of being ugly and uncomfortable to wear. This needn?t be the case. Dr. Kevin and Dr. Kary know how to fit their patients with dentures that not only look great, but feel great to wear too.

When our Denver denture dentists start to work with a patient to create a denture or set of dentures, our first concern is the patient?s bite. You see, every person?s TMJ is different and presents unique occlusal needs. Occlusion is the word for how a person?s teeth come together.

Just because you may not have any teeth left in your head doesn?t mean that occlusion is no longer an issue. The way that your jaw closes and where it comes to rest still has a major affect on your comfort and whether or not you suffer from any TMJ symptoms. So the first thing that we do is use our neuromuscular dentistry technology, including the TENS unit and K7 Evaluation System to find the correct position for your bite to close at.

We then take impressions of your bite to establish exactly how the new dentures should fit. Because these dentures are based on this natural, at-rest position, your dentures will look, feel, and function more naturally than those made by a dentist that simply puts what equates to a set of somebody else?s teeth in your mouth. Neuromuscular dentures make chewing easier and more effective, and make speaking easy and natural.
